Sir,—With reference to your letter dated
2nd instant, No. 143, informing me that it is
very desirable that I should state the salaries I
would recommend to be attached to the ap-
pointments under the Waste Land Board. I
have the honor to recommend the salaries
respectively named in the margin.

enclose for your informa-
tion and satisfaction copies of tes-
timonials which have been
placed in my possession by
Mr. O’Rafferty, whom I have
recommended for appointment

under the Crown Lands Ordinance.
