PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour WILLIAM BROWN,
Esq., Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.

By virtue and in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the provisions contained in the thirteenth section of the Regulations issued on the eighth day of February last, by His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government of New Zealand, for the sale, letting, disposal, and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Province of Auckland, in the said Colony,
I, the Superintendent of the said Province do hereby, with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, proclaim and declare that the block of land hereinafter described shall be open for sale in the said colony on and after the fourth twentieth day of July next ensuing, that is to say;

All that Block of Land, set apart for special occupation, situate in the Parish of Karaka, in the County of Eden, containing about 1,920 acres, and delineated on the map or plan of the said parish, in the office of the Surveyor General of the colony aforesaid.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this eleventh day of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five.

CONTRACTS FOR THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 5th June, 1855

Tenders will be received at this Office until noon on MONDAY, 25th June, inst., for furnishing the Provincial Government with the undermentioned Supplies, in such quantities as may be required, during the six months commencing on the 1st July, 1855, upon the conditions hereinafter specified.

FIREWOOD.

Of the usual size;
Of a size to suit the fireplaces in the public offices.

Tenders to state the price per ton at which the above-named sizes will be delivered on the beach, or at the several public offices, the Gaol, the Hospital, and the Lunatic Asylum.

HAY,

at per ton.

MAIZE AND BRAN,

at per bushel.

PROVISIONS FOR COLONIAL HOSPITAL AND LUNATIC ASYLUM.

Fresh Beef or Mutton, free from bone, at per lb.
Fresh Pork, at per lb. (for servants’ use only)
Fine Bread, at per lb.

These two items may be tendered for separately from the following.

Potatoes, Rice,
Tea, Sugar,
Oatmeal,
Arrowroot; Fine Flour,
Sago, Suet,
Butter, Tobacco,
Salt, Pepper,
Soap, Whiting,
Mixed Vegetables,
Dip Candles, Mould do.
Eggs, per dozen,
Fowls, each.
