that I have appointed
FREDERICK WHITAKER, Esq.,
to be Law Officer for this Province.
This appointment to date from the 9th instant.

John Guilding, Esq.,
to be Justices of the Peace for the Province of Auckland.

that the name of Alexander Kennedy, Esq., at his own request, has been withdrawn from the list of Trustees of the Auckland Savings Bank.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon on Friday, the 25th instant,
for supplying the Provincial Government, from the date of the tender to the 31st of December next, with

FIREWOOD,

Of the usual size;
Of a size to suit the fireplaces in the public offices.

Tenders to state the price per ton at which the above-named sizes will be delivered on the beach, or at the several public offices, the Gaol, the Hospital, and the Lunatic Asylum.

IT is requested that Plans and Specifications necessary for carrying out the undermentioned Works, with the probable expense of the same, may be sent to this office on or before noon of Tuesday, the 22nd instant, when separate Tenders will be invited for the performance, in portions not exceeding one mile, or less than a quarter of a mile in extent.

1st.—For completing the line of Road from Epsom to Mr. Kelly’s house, and thence to the Beach at Onehunga, by way of Mr. Norman’s; and
