Warrant.
WHEREAS it has been notified to me, under the hand of the Chairman of the Rangitikei Highway Board, that the seat of Mr. James Bruce, jun., at the said Board has become vacant under the provisions of the fifteenth section of "The Highways Act 1871," by reason of his having resigned the said seat:—Now therefore I, William Fitzherbert, C.M.G., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby appoint that for Ward No. 6 of the Rangitikei Highway District, the voters qualified to vote for the election of a Warden in such Ward shall meet at the Schoolhouse, at Archie Cameron’s, on Friday, the sixth day of March, 1874, at 12 o'clock, noon, for the purpose of electing a Warden for such Ward, and I do hereby appoint John Jordan to be Presiding Officer at the said meeting as aforesaid.
Given under my hand, at Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, this thirteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

HIS Excellency the Governor has by proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, of the 12th February, 1874, No. 7, under the provisions of "The Regulation of Elections Act 1870," appointed
Mr. Brannigan’s Woolshed, Alfredton,
to be a Polling Place for the following purposes, viz.:

For the Province of Wellington, for the election of Superintendent thereof.

For the District of Wairarapa East, for the election of Members of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington.

For the District of Wairarapa, for the election of Members of the House of Representatives.

HIS Honor the Superintendent has appointed a meeting for the election of a Warden for Ward No. 6 of the Rangitikei Highway District, to be held at the Schoolhouse, at Archie Cameron’s, on Friday, the 6th day of March, 1874, at 12 o'clock noon.
John Jordan has been appointed Presiding Officer for such meeting as aforesaid.
