REPORT.

I, DAVID LEWIS, a Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No 15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of the Islands of New Zealand, to hear and decide Claims to Land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, report that the Claims of the under-mentioned persons, having been duly referred to me for investigation, I do hereby decide that the said persons are respectively entitled to Crown Grants of the Land set against their names in the annexed Schedule.

1571 1647 Arthur Hayward Entitled to a Crown Grant of 15 acres, or thereabouts, part of the Country Section No. 71, in the Hutt District, formerly reported in favour of David McHardie. The legal estate to be antevested in the Grantee as from the 2nd November, 1855.
1572 1492 Thomas Scott Entitled to a Crown Grant of 150 acres of rural land, being the Section numbered 2 on the plan of the “Small Holders’ Block,” Rangitikei, formerly reported in favour of John Bryce. The legal estate to be antevested in the Grantee as from the 16th November, 1859.
1573 1413 Stephen Rowan Crawford Entitled to a Crown Grant of the Section No. 570, on the plan of the City of Wellington; also to a Grant of the Rural Section No. 4, Porirua District. The legal estate to be antevested in the former as from the 10th August, 1840; and in the latter as from the 3rd June, 1841.
1574 1593 Henry William Petre Entitled to a Crown Grant of a part of the Sections numbered 24 and 28, on the plan of the Hutt Valley, having a frontage to the Hutt Road of 626 links, more or less, known as the “Site for a Catholic Chapel.” The legal estate to be antevested in the Grantee as from the 4th day of August, 1854.
1575 1503 Richard Barton Entitled to a Crown Grant of one-quarter of an acre, more or less, part of Section No. 28, Hutt District, having a frontage of 100 links to the Hutt Road. The legal estate to be antevested in the Grantee as from the 17th day of August, 1860.
1576 1319 Anne Osborne, Thomas Holland, Thomas Page Entitled to a Crown Grant of the Rural Section No. 12, on the plan of the Horokiwi Road District, Province of Wellington. The legal estate to be antevested in the Grantee as from the 18th day of November, 1848.
