PUBLIC NOTICE.
Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 7th March, 1865.
NOTICE is hereby given that all that piece of land in the Ohariu District, containing about 1400 acres, more or less subject to survey, and bounded north by Crown Land and by sections 53 and 62, north-east by sections 54, 55, and 56, east by sections 59, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, and 67, south by sections 67, 68, and 70, and by land selected by Messrs. Stuart and Kinross, and west by the sea beach, excluding 80 acres selected by George Fawcett; will be open for selection at this office on and after Thursday, the 13th day of April next, under the Land Regulations of the Province of Wellington.

Election Notice.
ELECTION OF SUPERINTENDENT OF THE PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON.
In pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I, CHARLES DUDLEY ROBERT WARD, Esquire, Principal Returning Officer for the Province of Wellington, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the sixteenth day of February, 1865, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as Superintendent for the Province of Wellington, and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Wellington, on Saturday the eighteenth day of March, 1865 at noon; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Friday the twenty-fourth day of March, 1865.
