Re-constituting District of Manawatu under
the "Native Districts Regulation Act, 1858."

the third day of February, 1864.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in
Council.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, intituled
"The Native Districts Regulation Act,
1858," it is provided that it shall be lawful
for the Governor in Council from time to
time to appoint Districts for the purposes of
the said Act, being Districts over which the
Native Title shall not for the time being
have been extinguished:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent
of his Executive Council, doth hereby order,
appoint, and declare that the Territory here-
after described shall be a District for the
purposes of the said Act, that is to say: All
Territory bounded towards the North by
the Whanganui District, as constituted by
Order in Council of even date herewith,
towards the East by the Ahuriri District and
by the Tararua Range, towards the South
by the Kukutauaki stream, and by a line
running easterly to the Tararua Range,
towards the West by the sea coast line
between the Kukutauaki stream and Rotokari; excepting all lands over which the
Native Title has been extinguished within
the meaning of the said Act:

And doth appoint and declare that the
said District shall be called the Native District of Manawatu.

And doth declare that this Order shall

John A. Knocks, of Waikanae
Edward Schwartz Mansuell, of Wairarapa

to be persons to lay informations under the
"Arms Act, 1860."

Lighthouse Dues for the Port of Wellington

Auckland, 30th January, 1864.

THE following Light-house Rates for the
Port of Wellington, as fixed by the
Marine Board, are published for general
information.

Marine Board Office,
Wellington, January 12, 1864.

Lighthouse Rates fixed July 14th, 1863,
under the Marine Board Act, 1862, for the
Port of Wellington in New Zealand, are
hereby revoked, and the following fixed in
lieu thereof, in accordance with the power
vested in the Marine Board, by the 21st
Section of the Marine Board Act, 1863.

For all Vessels from Europe or any other
port beyond the Australasian Colonies, per
Register Ton 9d. (nine pence.)

All vessels from the Australasian Colonies
or Tasmania, per Register Ton, 6d. (six-
pence.)

For every Steam or Sailing Vessel, employed in the Coasting Trade, per Register
Ton, 2d. (two pence.)

The above Dues shall be levied on entering
inwards only, and payable on and after
the date of the Marine Board Act, 1863,
coming into force.
