NOTICE

Appointment of Board under “Cattle Brands Ordinance, 1864.”

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, 15th November, 1864.

HEREBY appoint

William Devenish,
Henry Robert Richmond, J.P., and
William King Halse,

to be a Board to examine into and ascertain the correctness of the Returns to be made under the authority of the “Cattle Brands Ordinance, 1864,” and to value unbranded Cattle.

NOTICE

Public Pound in New Plymouth.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, 15th November, 1864.

IN exercise of the authority vested in the Superintendent by the Ordinance to authorise and regulate the Impounding of Cattle, and to provide for the summary recovery of compensation for damage done by Cattle trespassing,

Session I., No. 8, I do hereby appoint the Stockyard marked E, seaward of Bulkeley-terrace, New Plymouth, as a Public Pound from and after the date hereof.

HARBOUR DEPARTMENT.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, 15th Nov., 1864.

THE Superintendent will feel obliged if any person who has been subjected to uncivil or improper behaviour from any one employed in the Harbour Department will immediately report the case to the Harbour Master in order that enquiry may be made at once and the complaint disposed of.

PASSENGERS IN HARBOUR BOATS.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, 15th Nov., 1864.

FROM and after this date persons landing from vessels in the roadstead, with the intention of returning on board, will pay the two charges on landing, and persons going on board with the intention of re-landing, will pay both charges before going on board to the Clerk of the beach.
