NOTICE UNDER "CATTLE OWNER-
SHIP ORDINANCE, 1862."

The time for sending in Returns of
Horses, Cattle, and Sheep, under the
Regulations published in the Gazette of
February 21st, is hereby extended to
SATURDAY, March 15, 1862.

The mode of garrisoning the Omata Stockade
to be arranged by Captain Burton subject to the
approval of Colonel Warre. Captain Brown’s
offer to undertake the duties of Paymaster to be
accepted he being allowed his present Sergeant
as Clerk at five shillings (5s.) per day.

Men at present in the Militia force to be permitted to leave the province, their passage money
being paid to any part of the Colony.
