GOVERNMENT AUCTION SALE.

MR F. U. GLEDHILL is instructed by the Provincial Government of New Plymouth to offer for Public competition at his Auction Rooms, on SATURDAY, 19th of September next; at 3 P.M. precisely—

300 ACRES OF RURAL LAND, the private estate of the Provincial Government, which will be offered in properties of 100 acres each, in the following situations :—

Allotment 806, Grey District—100 acres—bounded on the North by No. 790, on the East by the Mangorei river, on the South by No. 810, and on the West by Nos. 796, 788, and 789.

Allotment 113, Omata District—100 acres—Bounded on the North by No. 93, on the East by the Henui River, on the South by No. 129, and on the West by No. 100.

Allotment 114, Omata District—100 acres—Bounded on the North by No. 78, on the East by the Nakara, on the South by No. 106, and on the West by the Hurford Road.

These lands were purchased by the Provincial Government under the Land Regulations of the 4th March 1853, and have a liberal allowance in acreage for Roads.

After which will be sold—

6 Circular Canvas Tents, 10 feet in diameter; and

An Autographic Press, on Mahogany stand, with 9 stones, ink, and all materials requisite for use.

The conditions of sale may be inspected at the Auctioneer's, and plans of the Land at the Government Survey Office.

GOLD REWARD.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
New Plymouth, 17th August, 1857.

THE Provincial Government of New Plymouth hereby offers a reward of one hundred pounds (£100) to the person who shall first disclose to it exclusively the situation of a valuable and available Gold Field within the Province.

The value shall be estimated from the number of persons (say 300) who can obtain a return for their labor averaging not less than ten shillings per day each, and from the length of time they can find employment there.

The availableness shall be established by the Gold Field being within the purchased districts of the Crown.

In case of the foregoing conditions being fulfilled, the reward will be paid in twelve months from this date, or within six months from the date of the first license that may be granted for the search for gold.

The Provincial Government will submit all claims for the reward to the final decision of a Committee of four persons, two to be appointed by the claimant, and two by the Provincial Government, and the same course will be taken for the settlement of any dispute or difference which may arise in the construction of the terms of this Notice.

RURAL LAND SALE.

New Plymouth, 16th July, 1857.

NOTICE is hereby given that there will be a periodical Sale of Rural Land in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, under the Land Regulations of the Province, at the Crown Lands Office in the Town of New Plymouth, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, on the first day of every month, unless the same fall on a Sunday or on Good Friday, and in that case on the following day.
