PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

PROCLAMATION

Governor of the Province of Southland.

In pursuance of the provisions of the "Provincial Reserved Bill Act, 1858," Section 2, I hereby notify that the following Ordinances, passed by the Provincial Legislature of the Province of Southland, namely —

The Interpretation Ordinance, 1862,
The Provincial Auditor's Salary Ordinance, 1862,
The Marine Boards Ordinance, 1862,
The Electoral Districts Ordinance, 1862,
The Education Ordinance, No. 2, 1862,
The Educational Endowments Ordinance, 1862,
The Ministerial Endowments Ordinance, 1862,
The Cattle Branding Ordinance, 1862,
The Vagrant Ordinance, 1862,
The Appropriation Ordinance, 1862,

have been laid before His Excellency the Governor, and that His Excellency has been pleased to reserve the same for Her Majesty's Assent.

Given under my hand, this sixteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

Notice is hereby notified that in pursuance of the power in me vested in that behalf, I have appointed

Mr Christopher Basstian
to be a Commissioner of the Waste Land Board of the Province of Southland.

to be Sub-Assistant Surveyors in the Province of Southland; their appointments to date respectively from 19th and 26th of November.
