1 grey or roan horse, branded like NK on off shoulder, for which is claimed 5s each driving expenses
Also, on the 25th, by the same Ranger—
1 chesnut horse, branded like TH on near shoulder, white feet all round, white spot on off side, with tether rope, white stripe down face
owners unknown; and in default of being released, the above horses will be sold at Oamaru Pound, on Friday, the 12th day of November, 1875, at 12 o'clock noon.

STOLEN, or Strayed, from Lauriston, Saddle Hill, on or about 12th September last, 30 Merino Ewes, branded "Wine Glass" on back of neck. £1 10s will be paid for such information as may lead to their recovery, if strayed, or £10 for information leading to the conviction of the thief, if stolen.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, 1875.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the 19th section of "The Public Health Act, 1872," it is enacted that the Governor in Council may make orders from time to time directing that the provisions hereinafter in Second Part of the said Act contained, or any of them, be put in force in New Zealand, or in such parts thereof or in such places therein as in such orders respectively may be expressed, and may in like manner revoke or renew any such order; and, subject to revocation or renewal as aforesaid, every such order shall be in force in six calendar months from the publication of such order, or for such shorter period as in such order shall be expressed, and no longer; and every such order shall be published in the General Government Gazette, and such publication shall be conclusive evidence of such order to all intents and purposes: and none of the said provisions shall be in force in any part of New Zealand until an order directing the same to be put in force shall have been made and published as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and in exercise and pursuance of all power and authority in this behalf in him vested, doth hereby direct that the provisions contained in the sections of the said Act numbered twenty to forty-five, both inclusive, shall be put in force in the town of Invercargill.
