NOTICE.
LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
PERSONS desirous of selecting Land, either for immediate purchase or for occupation on deferred payments, or under the Agricultural Lease Regulations, will, on application to Mr. Robert Short, at the Land Office, Dunedin, be supplied with all the information they may require as to what land is open for sale or occupation, and the terms upon which it may be acquired.
Mr. Robert Short will show maps of the land, and assist purchasers or selectors in making the necessary applications.
THE undermentioned Town Sections will be sold by Auction, at the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon, on Monday, the 20th day of September proximo.

MR. JAMES MILNER WILL SELL by public Auction, at the Provincial Government Buildings, on Monday, 6th September, at 12 o'clock,
12 sections of Land, averaging from 7 to 10 poles, in the Township of Kensington, at the junction of the Clutha Railway and the Anderson's Bay road,
TO SCHOOL COMMITTEES AND SCHOOL TEACHERS.
THE following Resolutions of the Education Board are again published for the information of School Committees and School Teachers. By order,

The salary due to any teacher who may have resigned and left his appointment in any school will not be paid to him unless he produce to the Secretary of the Board a certificate from the Chairman or Clerk of the Committee of such school, to the effect that the said teacher has, up to the date of his leaving, properly made all the entries in his School Register and account of School Fees which are requisite for the correct filling up of the Annual Returns of the school, and that such registers and account have been handed over to the said Chairman or Clerk.

The Clerks of School Committees, and the teachers concerned, are hereby enjoined to intimate to the Secretary of the Board without any delay the date on which any teacher may cease to perform his school duty, and also the date on which any teacher hereafter appointed may enter on the performance of duty; otherwise there may be difficulty in obtaining payment of salary.

A sum of £350 is erected a tenement, consisting of four cottages of two rooms, now bringing in a rental of 7s. per week each. Upset price, £350 each.
Plans can be seen at the office of the Auctioneers, and at the Provincial Government Buildings, at any time prior to the sale.
Terms: One-third cash, and the balance by acceptances at six and twelve months, with interest added at the rate of 8 per cent. per annum.
TO SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
NOTICE is hereby given. That the Education Board will not be responsible for any outlay by School Committees on school buildings or other school purposes, unless the same shall have been previously sanctioned by the Board. By Order,
