SUPREME COURT
NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme
Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil business, will be holden at the Supreme Court House at
Dunedin, on Monday the sixth day of October next, at
the hour of ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which time and
place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as
prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.
APPLICATIONS are invited for the office of Head
Master for the Invercargill Grammar School, vacant
by the death of Mr Fleming, the late Rector. Salary,
£400 per annum, and house provided. Applications,
accompanied by testimonials and references, will be
received not later than 15th November, 1873, and must
be addressed to the Chairman Invercargill School Committee, Invercargill, New Zealand.
BYE-LAWS passed by the Board of Wardens of the
Waitahuna Depasturing district.
1st. That no license be granted to any person to depasture sheep on the Waitahuna Gold Field Common.
2nd. That Sheepowners at present holding Depasturing
Licenses be allowed three months from the 1st of October, for the removal of their sheep, and that till that
time, they shall confine them to boundaries to be hereafter defined.
The above Bye-Laws have been duly passed and
approved of this twentieth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

To the District Land Officer at Lawrence.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a
Water Race for industrial purposes, commencing at a
point at Benger Creek about half a mile above the Gorge,
and terminating at the lower end of Moa Flat, opposite
Brand’s Hotel.
The length of such race is three miles or thereabouts,
and its intended course is about easterly.
The mean depth and breadth of such race is 3 feet by
3 feet, and it is capable of carrying four sluice heads of
water.

A REGULATION made by the Council of the City
of Dunedin, under the authority of Section 1, Subdivision 1, Part VIII, of Schedule 13 of the “Municipal
Corporations Act 1867,” (as adopted by By-Law No. 2 of
the Council of the City of Dunedin, made on the 11th
day of November, 1868): For appointing limits within
which it shall not be lawful to keep any Swine.
REGULATION No. XII.
Notice is hereby given, that a Regulation entitled as
above was made and passed by the Council of the said
City, on the 20th day of August, 1873; and that the
Regulation as passed is deposited for the inspection of
any person interested therein, at the Office of the said
Council in Manse street, in the said City.
