PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In conformity to the 29th Section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the "Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts 1867, 1868 and 1869," for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden, at Queenstown, on or before the 11th day of March, 1870.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden's Office, Queenstown.
Given under my hand at Dunedin, this twenty-second day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

SCHEDULE.
Leonard Warren, pro "Phoenix Company," for about 16Β½ acres of land at Scandinavian Reef, Skippers, being section 14, block II, and sections 2 and 3, block III, Skippers.
NOTICE.
WHEREAS it is intended to stop up that road which is described in the schedule hereunder written, and which is also delineated on the map or plan mentioned and referred to in the "Taieri Districts Roads Lands Ordinance 1864," a copy of which map or plan is deposited at the Public School of North Taieri.
Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in this behalf by the "Taieri Districts Roads Lands Ordinance 1864," do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of the said road, are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objection they may have to the stopping up of the said road, and to leave such statement addressed to me, at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days from the date hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.
SCHEDULE.
Breadalbane.
34 chains in length, 60 links wide, from District Road at north-east angle of section 16, block XVIII, Taieri, to Dunedin and West Taieri Road: bounded on the north-west by section 62, irregular block, and on the south-east by sections 46 and 47, Riverside, Taieri.
22 chains in length, 60 links wide, from Dunedin and West Taieri Road to River Bank Reserve, West Taieri Bridge: bounded on the north-east by section 62, irregular block, Taieri; and on the south-west by section 49 and part of 48, river section, Taieri.

NOTICE.
"Provincial Compulsory Lands Taking Act 1866."
NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, at its next Session, authorising the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to take compulsorily, for the purpose of completing a road in the Mornington Road District, a portion of sections thirteen (13) and fourteen (14), block seven (VII), on the Map of the Town Survey District.
And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced, as aforesaid, may be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the said Provincial Council on and after the thirty-first day of March next ensuing the date hereof.
Dated this twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

IN CONFORMITY with the 29th Section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant leases, for gold mining purposes, to the undermentioned:
Henry Brooks, pro Mountain Race Terrace Company, section 6, block VII, Skipper's Creek;
William Henry Cutten, the Rough Ridge Quartz Mining Company, section 1, Blackstone District;
William Henry Cutten, the Rough Ridge Quartz Mining Company, section 3, Blackstone District; and
Michael Dillon, Dillon and Co., section 6, block VII, Rock and Pillar District.
In the case of Dillon and Co., the lease will be granted subject to the formation by lessees of a stormwater channel through the section, to carry off tailings and water from the workings above.
