PROCLAMATION

Road District of Windsor formed.

By His Honor Thomas Fraser, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865” it is amongst other things enacted that, until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one districts which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed, marked B: And it is also by the said Ordinance provided, that it should be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such districts, and to increase the number of districts by forming and naming new districts.

And whereas it is expedient to form a new Road District, to be named the Windsor Road District—
Now therefore I, Thomas Fraser, Esq., Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area bounded as described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from the day of the date hereof, be constituted a Road District, and shall be named the Windsor Road District.

SCHEDULE.
The Road District of Windsor shall comprise all that area commencing at the Trig. Station (Big Hill), situate on the boundary line between the Awamoka and Papakaio Survey District, and bounded on the north by a straight line from the said Trig. Station to the south-east angle of Block VI, Awamoka Survey District; and thence by said Block VI; on the west by the western boundary of the Awamoka Survey District to the Kakanui River; on the south by the southern boundary of the said Awamoka Survey District to the boundary of the Oamaru Hundreds; on the south-east by the boundary of said Oamaru Hundreds and the Big Hill Creek to point of commencement.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, this tenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

PROCLAMATION.

Of a Gaol at Switzers, in the Province of Otago.

By His Honor Thomas Fraser, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS it is expedient to proclaim the Lock-up at Switzers, in the Province of Otago, to be a Public Gaol:

Now therefore I, Thomas Fraser, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance of the power in me vested in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Lock-up or Watch-house at Switzers, in the said Province of Otago, shall henceforth be a Public Gaol.

Given under my hand at Dunedin, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, this seventeenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
