PROCLAMATION.
Cancellation of License to Depasture Stock on certain Waste Lands of the Crown, in the Province of Otago.
By His Honor Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the said Province.
WHEREAS by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in him in that behalf, by the "Gold Fields Act, 1862," John Hyde Harris, Esquire, the then Superintendent of the Province of Otago, did, by proclamation published in the Provincial Government Gazette, dated the fifteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, constitute and appoint the Lands particularly described in the said proclamation, comprising, amongst other lands, the lands hereinafter described, to be a Gold Field under the provisions of the said "Gold Fields Act, 1862," by the name of the "Tuapeka Gold Field," and the limits of such Gold Field did, in and by the said proclamation, define: And whereas the said Lands hereinafter described are Waste Lands of the Crown and subject to be dealt with under the provisions of the "Gold Fields Act, 1866."
And whereas the said Lands hereinafter described are now, or lately were, held and occupied by Thomas Lees for depasturing purposes, under License numbered 52: And whereas I have determined to cancel the said License, as to so much and such part of the Lands held under the same as are within the area hereinafter described:— Now therefore I, Thomas Dick, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance of the powers delegated to me in this behalf under the said "Gold Fields Act, 1866," and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby cancel, and declare to be cancelled, the said License numbered 52, in so far, and in so far only, as the Lands within the area hereinafter described are affected by the said License, that is to say:— All that area situate in the South-eastern District of the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement twenty-four thousand (24,000) acres, more or less, being the northern portion of Run numbered 52 on the map of the said District: bounded towards the north by Run numbered 353; towards the east by Runs numbered respectively 259 and 51; towards the south-east by the remainder of Run 52; towards the south by Run numbered 53; and towards the west by Runs numbered respectively 137 and 170, as the same is delineated on the map of the said Run, deposited in the Crown Lands Office, Dunedin.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at (L.S.) Dunedin, this eighteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

NOTICE.
THE Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned, trading as Runholders and Sheep Farmers, under the style of Gardner, Graham and Co., is this day Dissolved by mutual consent, as far as regards Mr. James Gardner, who retires from the firm.
The business will be carried on as usual under the style of Charles C. Graham and Co.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, carrying on business at Clyde as Coal Dealers, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent, and that the business will in future be carried on by James Holt. All debts will be received by Francis Dakin, who is empowered to give receipts for same.
