of Otago hereinbefore proclaimed to be included within
TOKOMAIRIRO EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the Education Board, in virtue of the powers vested in them by the "Education Ordinance, 1864," have been pleased to nominate and appoint Messrs. James Smith, John Lillie Gillies, Alfred Jones, William Mathieson, Robert Murray, William Black, William Grey, and Thomas Brookes, to be Commissioners for Tokomairiro Educational District, to exercise all the powers, and to perform all the duties committed to or imposed upon the School Committee of the said Tokomairiro Educational District, by the aforementioned Education Ordinance, 1864.

IMPOUNDED on the 22nd day of December, 1864, by Constable Carter, one Red Bullock, branded H H off hip and side, down horns; one red bullock, branded JS near hip, white face, and spreading horns; one Strawberry Bullock, branded β³ near rump, and O lower part of hip; one Red and White Cow with heifer calf, no visible brands, owners unknown, for trespassing on Main Road, Caversham; also, 26th December, by William Coutts, one Dark Bay Gelding, no distinct brand, owner unknown, for trespassing on Ferbury Paddocks, for which 2s. damages is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Caversham, on the 18th day of January, 1865, at 12 o'clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 15th December, 1864, by Thomas Morris, Mount Pleasant, for straying on his ground, 1 Bay Horse, branded EG on neck (off side), 36 under the saddle (off side), on near shoulder A, star on forehead, white streak on nose, and in default of being released the above Horse will be sold at the Public Pound, at Port Chalmers, on Friday, 6th January, 1865.
