HIS Excellency the LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR directs it to be notified, for general information, that on Tuesday, the 30th December, 1851, pursuant to the provisions of the charter of Incorporation,
William Hay, carpenter, Suburban East Ward,
was elected a Common Councillor instead of F. W. Merriman, solicitor, resigned; and on Monday, the 12th instant, took the oath prescribed by law.

HIS Excellency the LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR directs it to be notified that, from and after this date, the Footpath from the "Marlborough Arms" in Queen Street to the office of the Town Clerk in the same street, shall be deemed and taken to be a
PUBLIC FOOTPATH,
within the meaning of the Ordinance No. 12, Session 8.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon on SATURDAY, the 17th instant, for the supply of nine fathoms of 1/2 inch CHAIN, with two Shackles, for the use of the Harbour Department.

WHARF IN COMMERCIAL BAY.

Auckland, Jan. 7th, 1852.
WITH reference to the notice of the 10th ultimo, which appeared in the Government Gazette of the 11th December, 1851, calling for Tenders from persons willing to contract for driving and framing the piles, and for planking the New Wharf in Commercial Bay, Notice is hereby given, that the time for receiving such Tenders has been extended to SATURDAY the 17th instant, at noon, when Tenders will also be received from persons willing to contract for filling in the said Wharf.
