SALE OF CROWN LANDS.

His Excellency the Governor-in-Chief
directs it to be notified that the undermentioned Allotments, advertised for sale by
Public Auction on the 1st proximo, by Proclamation, dated the 28th of November, 1848, will
be withdrawn from sale by the Colonial Treasurer:

TENDERS FOR BUILDING A CULVERT.
Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, 15th February, 1849.
TENDERS will be received at this Office
until noon of Wednesday, the 21st inst.,
from persons desirous of building a Culvert
across the Papakura Road, near Lot 1 of Section 12.
Levels, Sections, and Specifications of the
work required can be seen on application to
the Superintendent of Roads, at the office of
the Surveyor-General.

The persons named below having applied
for Depasturing Licences within the Hundred
of Auckland, within the specified time,
and having taken out the same since the publication of the list of holders of Depasturing
Licences within that Hundred, I hereby declare their names to be added to and comprised
within such list.

James Dilworth, and William Harkins.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency, Sir George Grey,
K. C. B., Governor-in-Chief
in and over the Islands of New
Zealand, and Governor of the
Provinces of New Ulster and
New Munster, and Vice Admiral
of the same, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS the undermentioned Ordinance, enacted by the Lieutenant Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and
consent of the Legislative Council thereof, was
passed in the tenth year of the reign of Her
Majesty Queen Victoria, viz.:
No. 16. "An Ordinance to provide for the
establishment of Resident Magistrates’
Courts, and to make special provision for
the administration of Justice in certain
cases." Session 7.
Which Ordinance having been by the Right
Honorable Earl Grey, one of Her Majesty’s
Principal Secretaries of State, laid before the
Queen, Her Majesty has been pleased to confirm and allow the same.
Now, therefore, I the Governor in Chief of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and make
known to all whom it may concern, that Her
Majesty has been graciously pleased to confirm
and allow the before mentioned Ordinance.
Given under my hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Islands of New Zealand, at
Government House at Auckland,
in the Province of New Ulster,
this fifth day of February,
1849.

PURSUANT to the 5th clause of the
Squatting Regulations, dated 2nd November, 1848, I give notice that W. Trasted,
of Hokianga, is chargeable with Thirteen Shillings and Four-pence (13s. 4d.), as Assessment
upon Stock depastured by him upon Waste
Lands of the Crown, and that he will be required to pay such amount into the Treasury
on or before Tuesday, the first day of March
next.
