✨ Provincial Government Notices
Governor of the Province of New Munster, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, were passed in the Thirteenth year of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, viz:—
No. 1. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to Naturalize certain persons in the Province of New Munster.”
No. 3. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to prevent Entire Horses and certain other Animals, from being suffered to stray or run at large.”
No. 5. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to confer upon the Lieutenant-Governor of New Munster, within the Province, the same powers in certain cases as are conferred on the Officer Administering the Government of the Colony for the time being.”
No. 6. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to provide a cheap and expeditious mode of procedure against persons occupying Land or Premises within the Province of New Munster, without right, title, or license.”
No. 7. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to authorize the levying and collecting of Rates for the Making and Repairing of Roads, Streets, &c., &c., in any Town in the Province of New Munster.”
No. 8. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to appropriate the Revenue for the year 1849-1850.”
No. 9. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to increase the Efficiency of the Constabulary Force.”
No. 10. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to authorize the Levying and Collection of Tolls on Roads, and Rates on Land in the Province of New Munster;”
and
No. 11. Session I. 1849.—“An Ordinance to abate the Dog Nuisance,”
which Ordinances having been by the Right Honorable Earl Grey one of Her Majesty’s Principal Secretaries of State laid before the Queen, Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to confirm and allow the same.
Now therefore, I, the Governor of the Province of New Munster, Do Hereby Proclaim and make known to all whom it may concern that Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to confirm and allow the before mentioned Ordinances.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of New Munster in the Islands of New Zealand, at
Government House, at Wellington, this Tenth day of July, in the year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and fifty-two.

HIS EXCELLENCY the Governor-in-Chief directs it to be notified that Her Majesty the Queen has been graciously pleased, by a warrant under the Royal Signet and Sign Manual bearing date the twentieth day of November, in the year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and fifty-one, to appoint
Robert Henry Wynyard, Esquire,
Companion of the most Honorable Order of the Bath, Lieutenant-Colonel of H.M. 58th Regiment and the Officer Commanding the Troops in New Zealand, to be Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of New Ulster, in the Islands of New Zealand.
