NOTICE OF HEARING.
THE Commissioner hereby gives notice that he intends to enter into the investigation of the undermentioned Claims to grants of Land in New Zealand and will attend for that purpose at his office Nelson, on Monday the second day of February, 1852, at eleven o'clock in the Forenoon. All parties interested are desired to be in attendance with their documents and witnesses.
George Moore, of Wellington, Merchant, claim derived from Robert Register of Cloudy Bay.
“All the Lands at Wangattoeytoey situated on the East side of Cloudy Bay in New Zealand, from the summits of the Hills descending to the said bay from point to point, tenements, woods, streams, and Creeks within the said Bay.”
Alleged to have been purchased from Tarooté White, Chief of Wangattoeytoey, consideration five pair of Blankets and one bag of Sugar.
Nature of Conveyance:—deed in favour of Claimant dated 7th December, 1839.
George Moore as above, derived from Robert Register and Samuel Cave.
A parcel of Land near the centre of Ocean Bay on the West side of Cloudy Bay measuring from the front of the house to the back of the garden about 126 feet, and from one end of the house to the other end about 102 feet.
Alleged to have been purchased from certain Native Chiefs not named, 1st November, 1839.
Consideration:—property to the amount of £40.
Nature of Conveyance:—deed in favour of Claimants dated as above.
All parties opposing the above claims are to give notice thereof to the Commissioner at Nelson without delay.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Special Meeting of the Justices of the Peace for this District will be held at this Court, on Tuesday, the second day of December next, at 12 o'clock, for the purpose of considering applications for the transfer of Publicans’ Licenses.

THE Store situated at the Eastern end of Norwich Quay, now in the occupation of Mr. John Willoughby, has been approved for the Warehousing of Spirits, Tobacco, and other goods under bond for the payment of duties according to the provisions of Ordinance No. III, Sec. I, 1841.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of criminal business, will be held at the Court House, Wellington, on MONDAY, the First day of December next, at Ten o'clock in the Forenoon, at which place and time all persons under Recognizances to appear either as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are hereby required to give their attendance.
