TENDERS, in duplicate, will be received at this office on or before the 9th May, for building

A COURT HOUSE AND POLICE STATION AT WELLINGTON.

Plans and specifications may be seen and further particulars obtained on application to Mr. Edward Roberts, Royal Engineers' Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest tender.

Tenders to be sealed and endorsed "Tenders for erection of Court House and Police Station."

HIS EXCELLENCY THE LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR has been pleased to appoint

MR. RICHARD MILLS, late Gaoler at Nelson, to be Gaoler at Wellington, vice Mr. Richard Barry, resigned ; and

MR. WILLIAM RODGERS, late Turnkey at the Nelson Gaol, to be Gaoler at Nelson. Both the appointments to have effect from the date of each officer entering upon his duties.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned JAMES SMITH and JOHN HOWARD WALLACE, in Wellington, in the trade or business of Merchants, Auctioneers, and Agents, under the firm of "James Smith & Company," was this day dissolved by mutual consent. As witness our hands this twenty-fifth day of April, 1851.
