IN accordance with the provisions of the Land Regulations of the 15th of February, 1860, clause 25,

NOTICE is hereby given that the whole of the land in the District of the Upper Motueka and Motupiko Valleys are withdrawn from sale.

APPLICATIONS for DEPASTURAGE LICENSES, in accordance with the Regulations under the Waste Lands Act, 1858, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands during the months of MARCH and APRIL, 1861.

F. G. and J. W. SHRIMPTON—District, the Wai-au-ua.

Boundaries—On the north by the Kakapo Creek and the River Wai-au-ua; on the east by the western boundary of the Montrose Run, in the occupation of Messrs. Macdonell and Monro; on the south by a line running parallel with the River Wai-au-ua and the Kakapo Creek, at a distance of two miles from them; on the west by a line from the Kakapo Creek to the southern boundary to enclose 20,000 acres.

Deposit paid £30.

JAMES ROCHFORT—District, The Buller.

Being the open land situated in the Inangahua or Thackery and Waitu Rivers. Bounded on the northward and eastward by bush; on the southward and westward by the River Inangahua.

Estimated extent, under 3,000 acres.

GEORGE EDWARDS—District, the Wai-au-ua.

For a portion of country so as to include two grass plains, lying between the most easterly branch of the River Wai-au-ua and the next branch to the westward. Bounded on the east by the Wai-au-ua and extending westerly six or seven miles (by an average width of 1½ miles) to and beyond the branch to the westward, so as to include the whole of the westerly plains.

Estimated extent, under 10,000 acres.

Deposit paid, £15.
