HENRY GODFREY GOULAND, Esquire,
has been appointed a Resident Magistrate.

HIS Honour the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the names of the undermentioned Gentlemen have been added to the Commission of the Peace for the Province of Nelson :β€”

WILLIAM HENRY EYES, Esquire,
JAMES MACKAY, junior, Esquire.

HIS Honour the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the undermentioned portion of the Waste Lands of the Crown as hereinafter described has been RESERVED as a Village or Town Site :β€”

A Block of Land at the extremity of the Northern Boulder Bank, at the mouth of the River Wairau, bounded on the North by a straight line from the N.E. corner of the smaller Native Reserve due East to the Sea, on the South by the River Wairau, on the East by the Sea, and on the West by the aforesaid Native Reserve and by the River Wairau.

In Gazette No. 11, in notice of Reserved Lands, No. 6, for "Mahon" read "Onahou."
