PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough, in the
Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by Proclamation under
my hand, bearing date the Eighteenth day of March, 1867, the Provincial
Council of the Province of Marlborough
was summoned to meet in the Council
Chamber, Blenheim, on Tuesday, the
Sixteenth day of April, 1867; and whereas
it has been deemed expedient to extend the
time of meeting of the said Council.
Now therefore, I, William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of
Marlborough, in pursuance of the power
and authority vested in me in this behalf,
do hereby prorogue the Provincial Council
of Marlborough until Wednesday, the
First day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-seven.
And I do further announce and proclaim
that the Provincial Council of the Province
of Marlborough shall meet for the despatch
of business on the said First day of May,
at Four o'clock in the afternoon, at the
Council Chamber, Blenheim, and the
members of the said Council are hereby
required to give their attendance at the
said time and place accordingly.
Given under my hand, and issued
under the public seal of the
Province, at the Superintendent’s Office, Blenheim, this
First day of April, in the
year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-seven.
