PROCLAMATION.

By DONALD M'LEAN Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, in the Colony of New Zealand.

I, DONALD M'LEAN, Superintendent as aforesaid, by virtue of all powers in this behalf in anywise enabling me as Deputy for His Excellency Sir George Grey, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby call out for the purpose of training—

  1. All the men of the 1st and 2nd classes of the Napier Regiment of Militia, known as companies Nos. 1 and 2, Napier Town.

  2. All the men known as the Napier Volunteers—Capt. Buchanan's company.

  3. All the men of the 1st and 2nd classes of the Napier Regiment of Militia, known as company No. 3, Clive.

  4. All the men of the 1st and 2nd classes of the Napier Regiment of Militia, known as company No. 3, Clive.

And I hereby authorise and request Lieut. Colonel George Stoddart Whitmore, the Officer Commanding Militia and Volunteers in Hawke's Bay, to carry into effect this direction

Given under my hand at Napier, this eighth day of October, 1866.

Napier, October 8, 1866.

BY VIRTUE and in exercise of all powers and authorities vested in me, I George Stoddart Whitmore, Lieutenant-Colonel, the Officer Commanding the Napier Militia District, do hereby fix and appoint the times and places hereunder written to be the times and places of assembling for training of such men of the first and second classes of the Napier Regiment of Militia, as are resident within the Districts assigned to Companies Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4. And of such men as belong to Captain Buchanan's Napier Company of Volunteers.

TIME. PLACE.
10 a.m. Tuesday, 9th October, 1866, and each succeeding day on such hours as the Officer Commanding may direct. Nos. 1 & 2 Companies Napier Militia, front of Militia Office.
1 p.m. Tuesday, 9th October, 1866, and each succeeding day on such hours as the Officer Commanding may direct. No. 3 Company Napier Militia, Clive and Havelock.
1 p.m. Tuesday, 9th October, 1866, and each succeeding day on such hours as the Officer Commanding may direct. No. 4 Company Napier Militia, Meanee Bridge, Puketapu, Rissington and Peka Peka.
10 a.m. Tuesday, 9th October, 1866, and each succeeding day on such hours as the Officer Commanding may direct. No. 1 Volunteers, Napier, front of Militia Office.
