PROCLAMATION.
By JOHN CHILTON LAMBTON CARTER, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.
JOHN CHILTON LAMBTON CARTER, ESQ., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, Do Hereby Proclaim and Notify that the Lands described in the annexed Schedule will be open for Public selection, under the regulations of the 4th day of March, 1853, and the Additional Land Regulations of the 15th February, 1855 at the Land Office, Napier, on and after Friday, the 30th day of May, 1862.
Dated this Eighth day of April, in the Year of our Lord One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Sixty-two.

SCHEDULE.
PROVINCE OF HAWKE’S BAY.
District of Mohaka.
Moangiani Block.
Estimated to contain about 10,000 acres.
Boundaries —
The boundary commences at the Arakakarewa and runs to Otumatai; thence to Waitaria, Pakaropeke, Mangongoeo, and on to the river Mohaka.
District of Waiapu.
Dropaisni Block.
Estimated to contain about 8,000 acres.
Boundaries —
The boundary commences at Arapawanui, at the termination of Epanaia’s sale, running on to Mongahinahina; thence to the Waipapa stream; thence to the sea, and back to Arapawanui, excepting a reserve the boundaries of which are to be determined by the Surveyor appointed to mark off the land in company with the Natives.
The land also described as follows:
At the Paohuikai, te kai Toparapara te Mimi o Hineia, Mangaone, Whangaimokopuna, Hurumanga, te kai a Hui kai te Kahikateaora, Hauturangitangi, te Rakauwakatangitangi, te Ota, Taraitangakaho te Maurea, Mopakiata to Motu o Ihunaikereu, Pakaira, this is above Waipapa, then running down Waipapa to the sea, and by the sea-coast to the Arakarekare—excepting a reserve on the East side of Morengi-angi.
