PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN CHILTON LAMBTON CARTER, ESQ., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

JOHN CHILTON LAMBTON CARTER, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me on this behalf, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay shall meet for the despatch of business at the Council Chamber, at Napier, on Monday, the third day of February next, at 3 o’clock p.m.

Dated at Napier, this thirteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand, eight hundred and sixty-two.

Napier, Jan. 13, 1862.

IT is hereby notified for general information that a Writ for the Election of one Member to serve in the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay for the District of Waimarama having been issued in accordance with clause 12 of “An Act to Grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand,” the Returning Officer has returned the said Writ; with a Certificate that the undermentioned Gentleman has been duly Elected to serve as a Member of the said Provincial Council for the said District of Waimarama,
