HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz:—
No. 1075, in red.—Four hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the river bed of the Rakaia, bounded on the northward by the northern bank of the said river, on the westward by Reserve No. 317, on the southward by Reserve No. 786, and on the eastward by a line in continuation of the eastern boundary of the reserve last mentioned—For Ferry purposes.
No. 1076, in red.—Five acres more or less, situate in the Oxford District, bounded on the northward by the Harewood road by Rangiora, on the eastward by the road forming the western boundary of Reserve No. 927, (in red), on the southward by a line parallel to and five chains distant from the northern boundary, and on the westward by a line at right angles to the road first mentioned, so as to contain the above quantity—For a Public Cemetery.

REGULATION No. 5 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF TIMARU.
Made under the first provision of the first sub-division of the fifth part of the thirteenth schedule to “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867.”
In pursuance of section one hundred and ninety-two part thirteen, of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” the Council of the Borough of Timaru make the following Regulations, (that is to say):—

That the external and party walls of every new building, to be erected within the Borough of Timaru, described in Schedule A to this Regulation, shall be constructed of brick or stone, or other incombustible material, and the foundation of such building shall rest on the solid ground, or on concrete, or asphalte, or other solid substance, and that the flat gutter and roof of the same, and every turret, dormer, or other erection placed on the flat or roof thereof, except the windows and window frames of the same, shall be externally covered with slates, tiles, metal, or other incombustible material.

That the roof, flat, gutter, and every turret, dormer, or other erection, placed on the flat or roof of every new building to be erected within the portion of the Borough of Timaru described in Schedule B to this Vol. XVI., No. 29.
