COMMISSIONERS REPORT.

SHIP “CAROLINE COVENTRY.”

THE Commissioners having visited the ship “Caroline Coventry” upon her arrival have much pleasure in expressing their satisfaction with the cleanliness of the various compartments.

The Immigrants were unanimous in speaking highly of the Captain, Surgeon, and Officers of the ship. The Matron is stated to have performed her duties very efficiently.

Provisions were of excellent quality, and were reported to have been served out regularly throughout the voyage.

The distilling apparatus had worked well, but the Commissioners desire to express their disapprobation of cargo having been stowed on the top of the reserve water tanks.

The Commissioners notice with approval the addition of a night closet in the single females compartment.

The Commissioners have pleasure in recommending the payment of all gratuities, and the further employment of the Surgeon Superintendent should he desire it.

DAVID M. MACKAY.
