HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has been pleased to appoint

HENRY THOMSON

to be Traffic Manager of the Lyttelton and Christchurch and Great Southern Railways.

This appointment to take effect on and from the 1st proximo.

HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that THURSDAY NEXT, the 6th August, will be observed as a PUBLIC HOLIDAY, in honour of the Birthday of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, and that the Public Offices will be closed on that day.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor William Montgomery, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, fixing Tolls, Fares, and Charges for Railways.

WILLIAM MONTGOMERY, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, do hereby, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, fix the following Schedules of Tolls, Fares, and Charges to be levied and charged for the use of the Railways of the said Province on and after the First of August, 1868.

Given under my hand, at Christchurch, this twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
