- DECLARATION.—I, James R. Hill, of Christchurch, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, five in number, marked E.W., now on board of the vessel “Choice,” commander A. R. Pleace, now lying at Lyttelton, in the said province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation for the purpose of any scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

† DECLARATION.—I, C. Lenge Pryde, of Melbourne, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 200 in number, marked C., now being on board of the vessel “William Buchanan,” commander C. Lenge Pryde, now lying at Lyttelton, in the said province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

‡ DECLARATION.—I, John Foster, of the ship “Zealandia,” do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, seven in number, now on board of the vessel “Zealandia,” John Foster commander, now lying at Lyttelton, in the said province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.
