HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the following Reserves made by him, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, have been confirmed by the Provincial Council, as amended; viz.—
No. 820, in red.—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the Christchurch district,
commencing at a point on the road,
the same being the south-eastern
corner of section No. 4463; following
along the said road in a south-westerly
direction a distance of six chains, and
extending back north-westerly sixteen
chains and sixty links in a rectangular block; being bounded on the
north-east by the before-mentioned
section 4463; and on the north-west
and south-west by section 6131—for
a gravel pit.
No. 821, in red.—Thirteen acres, more or
less, situate in the Christchurch district, commencing at the intersection
of Bealey’s road with Buchanan’s
road, following along the last mentioned road in a north-westerly direction a distance of eighteen chains ten
links; thence at a right angle south-westerly a distance of fifteen chains
and eight links to the road first-mentioned; and from thence returning
along that road to the commencing
point; being bounded on the north-west by section 3084—for a gravel
pit.
No. 822, in red.—Sixteen acres, more
or less, situate in the Christchurch
district, commencing at the intersection of Bealey’s road with the Coal
road; following north-westerly along
the last mentioned road to the north-eastern corner of section No. 3770;
thence south-westerly following the
south-eastern boundary of that section a distance of thirteen chains ten
links to the road first mentioned; and
from thence returning along that road
to the commencing point—for a gravel
pit.
No. 823, in red.—Forty acres, more or less,
situate in the Christchurch district,
being bounded on the north-westward
by the road north-west of section
2782; on the southward by sections
2780, 4517, and 4762; on the south-eastward by the Prebbleton and
Kaiapoi road; and on the eastward
by section 4763—for a gravel pit.
No. 824, in red.—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the Christchurch district,
bounded on the south-eastward by the
Prebbleton and Kaiapoi road; on the
south-westward by the Fendaltown
road; on the north-westward by a
line ten chains distant from, and
parallel to the south-eastern boundary; and on the north-east by a
straight line so as to contain the above
quantity—for a gravel pit.
No. 825, in red.—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the Christchurch district,
bounded on the north-west by Bealey’s
road; on the south-west by section
No. 6099; on the south-east by a line
ten chains distant from and parallel
to the first-mentioned boundary; and
on the north-east by a line at right
angles to the said road, so as to include the above quantity—for a
gravel pit.
No. 826, in red.—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the old river bed in Christchurch district, bounded on the south-west by sections 2861 and 4069; on
the south-east by the road; on the
north-west by a line parallel to and
ten chains distant from said road;
and on the north-east by a line at
right angles to the last mentioned
boundary, so as to include the above
quantity—for a gravel pit.
No. 827, in red.—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the old river bed in the
Christchurch district, bounded on the
south-west by section 2778; on the
south-east by a road; on the north-west by a line parallel to and ten
chains distant from the south-eastern
boundary; and on the north-east by
a line at right angles to the said road,
so as to contain the above quantity—for a gravel pit.
No. 828, in red.—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the old river bed, in the
Christchurch district, bounded on the
north-east by section 2206; on the
north-west by the road; on the
south-east by a line parallel to and
ten chains distant from the north-western boundary; and on the south-east by a line at right angles to the
said road, so as to include the above
quantity—for a gravel pit.
No. 829, in red.—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the old river bed in the
Christchurch district, bounded on the
north-east by section 2206; on the
south-east by the road; on the north-west by a line ten chains distant from
and parallel to the south-east boundary; and on the south-west by a
line at right angles to the said road,
so as to include the above quantity—for a gravel pit.
