- DECLARATION.—I, Edward Chapman, of Acton, on the Rakaia, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of my ewe flock, and that my sheep, branded E C, being 3,700 in number, now being at Acton, have not within two months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor within two months been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true. EDWARD CHAPMAN.
Declared before me at Acton, this 20th day of February, 1861. P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep.
CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 3,700 sheep, branded E C, the property of Edward Chapman, now being depastured at Acton, on the Rakaia, and that I find such sheep to be entirely free from scab or catarrh.
Given under my hand at Acton, this 20th day of February, 1861. P. B. BOULTON, Inspector of Sheep.
† DECLARATION.—I, John James King, of Lake's Station, River Selwyn, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of my sheep, and that my sheep, branded L (within heart), being 2,000 in number, now being at Lake's Station, have not within three months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with the scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true. CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 2,000 sheep, branded L (within heart), the property of Stace & King, now being depastured at Lake's Station, on the Selwyn, and that I find such sheep to be entirely free from scab or catarrh.

‡ DECLARATION.—I, George White, of , do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 1,120 in number, marked ✻ (within circle), now being depastured by me at the Government Dip, on the Hurunui, have not within three months last past been subject to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.
