THE following Bill, passed by the Provincial Council of Canterbury, intituled
The Peacock Jetty Extension Ordinance,
Session XI., No. 9;
which Bill was reserved for the signification of the Governor's pleasure thereon, having been laid before the Governor, in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution Act, his Excellency has been pleased to withhold his assent to the same.

The Cathedral Square Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, Session XI., No. 4;
The Public Hospital Ordinance, Session XI., No. 5;
The Church Property Trust Amendment Ordinance, Session XI., No. 6;
The Race Course Reserve Ordinance, Session XI., No. 7;

The Sheep Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, Session XI., No. 11;
The Appropriation Ordinance, 1859-60, Session XI., No. 15;
having been laid before the Governor, in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution Act, his Excellency has been pleased to leave the same to their operation.

to be Acting Collector of Customs at the Port of Lyttelton.
