NOTICE.
THE attention of District Boards is directed to the Supplement published with this Gazette, setting forth the steps to be taken by Boards (1) for taking private land for permanent Works, (2) for levying a separate rate under the provisions of the Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871, and 1872.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 7th July, 1873.
In pursuance of the 20th section of "The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1870," it is hereby notified for general information that application has been made to me by
Mr. Edward Constable,
for permission to use, for mill-driving purposes, the water flowing through allotments Numbers 11 and 12 of the Parish of Waiuku East, together with the right to construct a Dam thereupon.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Joseph May, Esquire, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and authority vested in the Superintendent, by the provisions of "The Marine Act, 1867," I do hereby appoint that, from and after Monday, the first day of September proximo, the charge for Shipping Cattle and Horses at the Wharf at Turanganui, Gisborne, Poverty Bay, shall be increased from one shilling per head, to two shillings and six pence per head.
