HAURAKI GOLD FIELD.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
It is hereby notified that Leases have been refused to the Applicants named in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.
Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

R. Horne and Party, for the Golden Terrace Claim; 15 years’ lease of 2½ acres; on the Kuranui Hill, adjoining the “Auckland” Gold Mining Company, the “Holland Park,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Kuranui Star,” “Once and Again,” “Pai Mairire,” and “Hyde Park;” application notified in Gazette No. 3, dated 8th January, 1870, page 17.
Charles Tothill, for the Odd Fellows’ Gold Mining Company; 15 years’ lease of 1¼ acres; bounded by the “Kuranui,” “Homeward Bound,” “All Nations,” “Junction” and “Shotover” Gold Mining Companies; application notified in Gazette No. 7, dated 28th January, 1870, page 57.
D. J. O’Keeffe; 15 years’ lease of about 16¼ acres; situate at Tapu, bounded towards the North by “Clyde” Company’s ground; towards the North-west by the “Marquis of Hastings” Company’s ground; and towards the South-west by a line about 200 yards; known as the “Tapu Mint” Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 58, dated 27th August, 1869, page 853.
Edward W. Brothers; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres more or less; bounded on the North by Clayforth’s lease, and West-south-west by Gemmell’s lease, from the Hape Creek up to the dividing ridge of the Karaka; application notified in Gazette No. 59, dated 30th August, 1869, page 868.
Edward Hogan and Parry; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; situated on Tararu Creek, adjoining the “Magnum Bonum” Claim, and the “Resolute” Gold Mining Company’s ground; application notified in Gazette No. 63, dated 8th September, 1869, page 977.
George Naslt; 15 years’ lease of about 6 acres; situate on Tinker’s Gully, Tararu; bounded on the East by the “Flower of the Field” Claim, on the West by the “Golden Rocket” Claim on the South by the “Tara’s Hall” Claim; known as the “Merry Sunshine” Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 64, dated 10th September 1869, page 1025.
N. W. Masser, for the Shareholders of the Diamond Claim; 15 years’ lease of 6 men’s ground; situated between “Candlelight No. 2,” “Excelsior,” and “Prince Patrick,” at the head of Waiotahi; application notified in Gazette No. 73, dated 29th September, 1869, page 1245.

It is hereby notified that the several Applications for Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder have been abandoned, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.
