HAURAKI GOLD FIELD.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that the several Applications for Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder, have been abandoned, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.

Peter Reid, for the Golden Anchor Claim; 15 years’ lease of 4½ acres on the Hape Creek; adjoining the “Flagstaff” and “Pretty Nelly” Claims; application notified in Gazette No. 3, dated 8th January, 1870, page 17.

Nathaniel P. Meyers, for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Mining Company; 15 years’ lease of 5 men’s ground; situated on the Moanataiari Creek, adjoining Claims known as the “Star of the West,” “Moss Rose,” and “Red, White, and Blue;” application notified in Gazette No. 89, dated 19th November, 1869, page 1587.

Rody Carmondy and party; 15 years’ lease of 4 acres more or less; known as the “J.R.” Claim; situated on the Hape Creek, and bounded on the North by the “Golden Eagle,” on the East by the “New South Wales” Gold Mining Company, on the South by the “Iron Duke” Gold Mining Company, and on the West by the “Black Eagle” Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 80, dated 22nd October, 1869, page 1384.

Daniel Sullivan, for the Star and Garter, and Star of the Range, amalgamated Claims; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; at the head of the Punga Flat, consisting of the “Star and Garter” and “Star of the Range” amalgamated Claims, and the “Golden Fleece,” “One Tree,” and “Powerscourt” abandoned Claims, and surplus ground; application notified in Gazette No. 54, dated 18th August, 1869, page 733.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that the several Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder, have been cancelled on account of non-execution, and that all rights, privileges, and claims in respect of the applications for the same, are deemed to have been forfeited, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

It is hereby notified that Leases have been refused to the Applicants named in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.


SCHEDULE.

The Little Republic Gold Mining Company, Registered, applied for by Charles Alexander; 15 years’ lease of about 4 acres; situate at Tapu, and bounded by the “Great Republic” Gold Mining Company’s Claim on the North, the “California” Claim on the West.
