PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By EVERY MACLEAN, Esquire,
Deputy Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.
By virtue of the power in the Superintendent
vested by the fourteenth section of
“The Common Schools Act, 1869,” I do here-
by notify that portion of the Province
of Auckland comprised within the boundaries
of the Highway District known by the name
of the Hamilton Highway District, as consti-
tuted by notification in the Government
Gazette of the Province of Auckland, No. 44,
26th September, 1867, page 416, shall be an
Educational District under the said Act, to
be called
The Hamilton Educational District.
And I do hereby appoint a Meeting of the
resident occupiers of land and householders
to take place at the Court House, Hamilton,
on Saturday, the thirty-first day of July
instant, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, to ap-
point a Chairman, elect a School Committee,
and for the other purposes set forth in the
fourteenth section of the said Act.

land, this sixth day of June,

has revoked the Licence granted to
HAMILTON FISHER, Esq.,
as a Gold Field Surveyor, and published in
the Provincial Government Gazette of date
the 21st of May, 1869.

At the Government House at Wellington,
the twenty-third day of June, 1869.
Present:—
His Excellency the Governor in
Council.
Whereas by the “Protection of Animals Act, 1867,” it is enacted
that the Governor may, by Order in Council
published in the New Zealand Gazette, dele-
gate to the Superintendent of any Province
all or any of the powers by the said Act
vested in the Governor, or the Governor in
Council, subject to such regulations as he
may think fit, and may from time to time
rescind such delegation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Gover-
nor, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council, doth hereby delega-
te unto
JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland
so long as he shall continue and remain
Superintendent of the said Province, all the
powers vested by the said Act in the Gover-
nor, or the Governor in Council, to be exer-
cised only in respect to the said Province.
