✨ Native Land Claims



Name of Claimant. Name and Locality of Block. Boundaries of the lands translated from the Claims. Place where Plan will be deposited for public inspection.
Hamiora Te Rangituatia, Mohi Te Harare, and others Opita, at Hauraki Commencing at Te Rangatitoki, ascending to Pukeimanga and extending to Opita.
Hemi Te Kuri, and others Tamahore, at Waihou It is on the Waihou River, and bounded by lands belonging to Maories, and the Government.
Ngatai, Aperahama Pokai, Wata Hatara, Pereniki Nga Hine, at Ohinemuri The boundary commences at Te Paeroa, on the side of the Ohinemuri river it goes along that boundary to the swamp to the boundary of the Arero-o-Huatata Block, it continues along that boundary to the Ohinemuri River, then by that river to the commencement.
Pereniki Te Kokako, Timotu Te Aumoana Owekarau, at Ohinemuri Commencing at Ohinemuri on the South side it goes inland, and then goes off to the N. West by the side of the Koroi forest, it continues on in the Makoko stream and it then runs South of Owekarahi, and joins the Ohinemuri River, it continues in that river to the commencement.
Paetai, Perenara, Matiu, Te Pamahue, Rakiraki Hikutaia, at Waihou Commences at Ohokio, goes on to Te Ngarahu, Motumotu, and Keretoi, it continues on to Koputai, Te Pahi, and Wairone, it then comes to the Hikutaia River, and continues in that river to Ohokio that is to the commencement.
Pepene Ngataheke and others Mangamutu, near Waihou The boundaries are Whakapakoura, Te Rautawhiri, Tuturakahu, and Te Awaroa.
Papakoura Te Mairepo, Hemi Takapuahia Te Pane-o-te-manuwhiri, at Kauaeranga A small piece on the South side of Shortland Town.
Te Kiri Ohokiu Hauraki The boundary on one side is Te Matahiki, on another side the boundary of Nicholas.
Nepia Te Kakahi Tawhitirahi Hauraki On one side is the land of Ngakapa, on another side is the river Waiwhakaurunga, on another side the land of Ngatiwhanaunga.

If these lands are surveyed the maps may be seen at the Office of the Inspector of Surveys, Auckland.
