THE following appointments to the Commission of the Peace, of gentlemen, residents in the Province of Auckland, is republished from the New Zealand Gazette for general information.

to be Justices of the Peace for the Colony,

I, THE undersigned, EDWARD R. DEAS THOMSON, hereby make application to Register "THE EPSOM RISE GOLD MINING COMPANY, REGISTERED," under the provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely :-

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The Epsom Rise Gold-Mining Company, Registered."

  2. The place of operations is at the Karaka Creek, Shortland.

  3. The Nominal Capital of the Company is Three thousand pounds, in one thousand shares of Three pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Two thousand one hundred and sixty pounds.

  5. The name of the manager is Edward R. Deas Thomson.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Brown-street, Grahamstown.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held at this date are as follows :-

I, THE undersigned, NATHANIEL WILLIAM MASSEY, hereby make application to register "THE PRINCE OF WALES GOLD-MINING COMPANY (REGISTERED)" under the provisions of "The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely :-

  1. That the name and style of the Company is, "The Prince of Wales Gold-Mining Company (Registered)."

  2. That the place of operations is at the Moanataiari Creek, at the Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Company is Six thousand six hundred and ten pounds, in One thousand three hundred and twenty-two shares of Five pounds each.

  4. That the amount paid up is Five thousand four hundred and sixty-five pounds.

  5. That the name of the Manager is Nathaniel William Massey.

  6. That the office of the Company is in Brown-street, Grahamstown.

  7. That the names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:-
