PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
By virtue of the powers vested in me by "The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867," I hereby declare that the unsold lands in the Blocks named in the Schedule hereunder written, are set apart and reserved for certain Immigrants, who have arrived, or who are expected to arrive, and desire to settle in the Province of Auckland.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this sixth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

SCHEDULE.
Mangere Block, County of Marsden, District of Whangarei.
Bounded on the north by the Mirowhakatiki Block, and by Native land; on the north-east by the Pukenui Block; on the south by Native land; and on the west by the Mangere and Patu Wairua rivers.
Pukenui Block, County of Marsden, District of Whangarei.
Bounded on the north-east by the south-western boundary of the Whadwhaka Block; on the east and south-east by Native land; and on the south-west by the north-eastern boundary of the Mangere Block.
Tauhoa Purchase, County of Marsden, District of Kaipara.
Bounded on the north-east by the Hoteo River and the Kourawhero and Ahuroa Blocks, on the south-east by the north-western boundary of the Komokoriki parish and by native land, on the south-west by the Kaipara Harbour, and on the north-west by the parish of Oruawharo.
The Waiuku Block, parish of Waiuku East, County of Eden.
All the unsold Provincial lands in the parish of Waiuku East.
The Island of Waiheke, County of Eden.
All the unappropriated Provincial lands in the Island of Waiheke.
County of Mongonui, District of Mongonui, Parish of Whakapaku.
All the unsold Provincial Lands in the Parish of Whakapaku.
County of Mongonui, District of Awanui.
All the unsold lands in the Wharemaru purchase, bounded on the east and south-east by the sea; on the south by Rangaunu harbour and the Kaikino river; on the west by Maxwell’s claim and the Muriwhenua south block; and on the north by the Muriwhenua south block.

SIR,—I have the honor, by direction of the Honorable Mr. Richmond, to transmit enclosed herewith a certified copy of the Original Award made in the case of James Busby, Esq., by two of the three Arbitrators appointed under "The Land Claims Arbitration Act, 1867," upon the issues referred to them.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand Number Fifty-three of Session Thirty one intituled "An Act to empower the Governor to submit certain land claims to arbitration" after reciting in the preamble thereof that James Busby of Waitangi in the Province of Auckland did in or about the year One thousand eight hundred and thirty-nine and at divers other times purchase from the Native Chiefs of the North Island of New Zealand certain tracts of land at the Bay of Islands, Ngunguru Whangarei and Waipu in the Province of Auckland in the said North Island of New Zealand for which said land he paid to the said Native Chiefs large sums of money and gave other considerations for the same and that a considerable portion of the lands so purchased by the said James Busby as aforesaid had been sold by the Government to other persons whereby the said James Busby had been deprived of the same and that certain of the lands so purchased were withheld by the Government from the said James Busby and his title to others had been impaired by the Government and that other complications had arisen and that the said James Busby had...
