NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province
of Auckland, in the Colony of
New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act made and passed
by the Superintendent of the Pro-
vince of Auckland, with the advice and con-
sent of the Provincial Council thereof, intitu-
led the “Auckland Municipal Police Act,
1866,”
it is amongst other things enacted
that the Superintendent may from time to
time, by public notification in the Provincial
Government Gazette, appoint and define the
limits of cities, towns, and other places with-
in the Province of Auckland, for the purposes
of this Act.

Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of
the Province of Auckland, pursuant to the
authority vested in me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that for the
purposes of the said “Auckland Municipal
Police Act, 1866,”
the limits of the City or
Town of Auckland, within which the said
Act shall come into force shall be as fol-
lows:—

Boundaries of the “Auckland Municipal Police Act, 1866.”

On the North by the Waitemata Harbour,
from the Meola stream to the North-west
angle of Lot No. 38A of Tamaki farms; on
the East by the Eastern boundary of Section
No. 16 to the north side of the Tamaki
Road, thence by the north side of the
Tamaki Road aforesaid to its junction with
the road from Remuera to the Great South
Road, thence by the eastern side of the said
road to its junction with the Great South
Road aforesaid; on the South, by the North-
ern side of the Great South Road to its
junction with the Eastern boundary of Sub-
urban Section No. 11, thence by the Eastern
boundary of Section No. 11 aforesaid to the
North-east corner of Suburban Lot No. 19;
on the South by the Northern boundary of said
Suburban Lot No. 19, thence crossing the
Epsom Road to the North-east corner of
Suburban Lot No. 22 of Section 10, thence
by the Eastern boundary of said Suburban
Lot No. 22, thence by the Southern bounda-
ries of Lots Nos. 22, 46, 6, 104A, 134, 139,
and 154 of Section No. 10 aforesaid,
thence by the Western boundary of
Suburban Lot No. 155 of said
Section No. 10; thence by the Southern
boundary of Farm Section No. 170, to
its junction with the Meola Stream; on the
West by the Meola Stream aforesaid to the
Waitemata River.

Given under my hand, at Auckland,
this twenty-second day of March, in the year of our Lord,
one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-six.
