NOTICE.
I HEREBY notify for general information, that, in accordance with the provisions of an Act for granting a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand, a writ having been issued for the election of a member of the Provincial Council for the undermentioned Electoral District, to serve in the place of William Powditch, Esquire, resigned; the Returning Officer of the said District has returned the said writ with a certificate to the effect that the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected a member of the Provincial Council for the said District.

I HEREBY notify that I have appointed Mr. Francis Dyer Rich, to be Inspector of Sheep for the District extending to the distance of 30 miles from the boundaries of the City of Auckland, vice Mr. D. G. Smale, resigned. The appointment to date from the 4th instant.

IN compliance with the 12th Clause of the Auckland Harbour Act, a Special Meeting of the Auckland Harbour Commissioners will be held at the Harbour Committee Office on Saturday, the 29th instant, at noon, for the purpose of electing one member of Committee vacant by the resignation of W. Powditch, Esquire.
